There is a folder /etc/X11/icewm, by creating a folder /home/user/.icewm and copy the references file to it. I then edit the file changing the option TaskBarShowStartMenu from 0 to 1
I now get the start button in the task bar in the left bottom corner. Seems that a lot of option is there.
So now I can use the other work space without typing in the console.
